Felted wool rug - 24" x 46"

A full year's silvery fleece from an Icelandic ewe in my old flock, wet felted with tallow soap onto a border and backing of her lambs wool. Some of the locks measure at least 9" long. This rug has been wet felted by hand from naturally colored 100% Icelandic wool, and will make a durable throw, rug, camping bed, etc.

Approximate measurements: 24" wide x 46" long

To care for this, air it out often and use a broom to beat out dust and debris. You can fill your washing machine with warm water and soap to soak it if necessary, but turn the washer off! Let the water cool before using the spin cycle to spin out as much moisture as you can, then line dry. Agitation or using a clothes dryer may felt it further into odd shapes.
